50th Reunion for Class of 1957
Plans are nearly complete for the Class of 1957's 50th reunion. In
addition to the dinner at the Eagle's Nest Event Center on Saturday evening,
September 8, 2007,a pizza party is planned for Friday evening, September 7, at
Smith's Carriage House and a casual breakfast for Sunday morning, September 9,
also at the Carriage House. Get-togethers for classmates from the
different township schools also
are planned for Saturday afternoon, from 2 to 4 p.m. These are hosted by
Jim Kyler (Columbia Township), Pauline Bruch (Washington Township), Jeanette
Rohrer (Thorncreek Township), and Jo Ellen McConnell (Columbia City).
The pizza party is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m.; the Saturday evening
dinner begins with a social hour at 6:30, dinner at 7:30; and the Sunday
breakfast, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Motel rooms have been blocked
at the AmeriHost Inn (800) 434-5800).
Rooms also should be available at the Executive Inn (800) 733-5337).
Mention the CCHS 50th Class Reunion for special rates. Planning
Committee Chairman Rex Carpenter reports that a relatively
large number of out-of-town classmates have let him know they plan to attend
this year's reunion. More detailed information has been mailed to
all class members, except
